: With the arrival of new guests the lion pair Akash and Megha Kamla Nehru Zoological Park has become one of the most sought after places for Indoreans to spend their weekend. : The Similipal Tiger Reserve (STR) have shifted about 32 tribal families from the core area, to lessen human interference in the region. These families were relocated in Asankunda village. The tiger reserve, spread over 2,750 sqkm, has a core area of over 1,195 sq km and a buffer of 1,550 sqkm. Since the inception of STR, it continued to be a major concern of wildlife officials to secure the 'inviolate' (the safe habitation area for the big cats).
